5 Questions to Ask Before Hiring Any Marketing Agency

Stable Digital Team

Every marketing pitch sounds confident. These five questions tend to separate a genuinely solid offer from one that’s mostly polish, whoever you’re considering hiring.

1. What exactly will I receive each week or month?

A vague answer like "ongoing optimisation" is a warning sign. A specific answer — this many posts, this cadence of content, this kind of report — tells you what you’re actually paying for.

2. What happens to approval before anything goes live?

Ask directly whether content publishes automatically or only after your sign-off, and if it’s automatic, ask exactly what quality control happens before it does.

3. Can I see a sample of real work, not just a mockup?

A confident provider can usually show a genuine example — a real report, a real piece of content — rather than only a polished demo screenshot designed for a sales page.

4. Am I locked into a contract?

Month-to-month terms are a strong signal a provider is confident they’ll keep you by performing, not by making it expensive to leave.

5. What happens when something isn’t working?

Ask what the actual process is when a campaign underperforms or content misses the mark. A real answer describes a concrete revision or escalation process, not just reassurance.
